This work reflects a conscious effort to produce photographic images that speak less about the moment, and more about possibilities.  The importance of light and shadow is enhanced by the nature of infrared film, which allows for greater abstraction.  I feel a connection with these photographs as they resonate with more than what is superficially perceived.  The works attempt to create a timeless harmony while considering the context of a representational photograph that is merely a record of the past the instant it is created. In considering both natural and manmade subject matter, the intersections of past and present cultures, and a visual connection that is transcendent, I have focused on creating images that explore time and space as a continuum that allows the viewer to contemplate and interpret.
